well, here i am
hello all! this whole blogging thing just really truly is not my style, but it seems to be everybody elses style so maybe i should give it a try. but the whole point is pictures, right? i cannot upload any pictures because my beautiful mac book wont connect to the wifi in my house. but in reality, i think that that is a wonderful thing.
san juan is perfection. like on the realz, it is simply amazing. it´s funny because the people here describe it as tranquilla, but i find so much life here. the streets are bustling well into the night, there is an amazing park filled with friends sipping mate in the center of town, and a mcdonalds that does business like gang busters.
spanish is coming along. slowly but surely i am learning more and more. at this point, my ears are used to hearing a language that i don´t completely understand all day long, so i think that that is an improvement.
on sunday i will have been with my family for three weeks. truly, i could not have asked for anything better. we live in a modest home about a 8 minute car drive from el centro. there are dogs wandering the street and the trashman is just a guy driving like a lumber truck manually picking up the bags of trash from the metal trash holders that every house has. i dont know, it is all so ideal.
except for the uniforms. i am morally opposed and they look ridiculous. i just will never understand. never.
life here is in so many ways so similar to life in the US, but it is the little things that sneak up on you.
i am now a pro at taking taxis and at listening to people sing kesha with a spanish accent.
siestas are a must in san juan. i love siestas. life here is just so my style. and i am learning how to be late which, i think might be a good thing. i havent bought anything yet, but eventually i might want to. i´m not sure. who really knows anything anyway.
blogs are dumb. in informatica, or like computer lab, we had to make a blog. it was dumb. that class is so dumb.
peace to you all. it is beautiful here, and it is beginning to get hot. soon i will be sweating 24 7.
sometime soon i will try to upload fotos because that is all that matters anyway. i really like emails, like a lot. so maybe somebody could email me, that might be ideal.
